They file in, greet one another, and begin to survive another day. They are troopers, united by their fight and in the fight. Their spouses or friends come because they need help in getting there. Their medicine makes them die, just a little….Each day they die a little more, and when the treatments end, their will to live is that of the bravest on the fields of war. They wear kerchiefs, sit in wheelchairs, walk with a cane, or move in moble chairs. They are wonderous in their dedication to die a little to live. I bow, as a humble bystander, to their courage, their steadfastness, and their spirit.

not an ‘unbirthday’ today
If you don’t remember Alice and the Mad Hatter…an ‘unbirthday’ won’t mean much, however, I am an oldie now…..today is number 68…..and it is not an ‘unbirthday’…..One has 364 ‘unbirthdays’ and one birthday, according to the Mad Hatter, and today is mine.
The joke (if one wants to call it that), is that I can hardly believe I am married to someone 70 years old…..and I am sure he is having some thoughts about being married to someone 68. Age is ageless……and so is love, thank goodness. I didn’t believe that when my parents told me that being 70 and 60 and 50 is just like being “……..” For me the “……” is about 32.
Anyhow, thanks one and all for those who remembered this day. I wish you all the happiest of days….both ‘unbirth’ and ‘birth’…….. later
oh rats…..norwegian, that is
yes, it is that time, when varmits start to run around at night, especially in my neighborhood. We live close to coyotes, opossums, raccoons, red tailed hawks, etc, and are happy with all our co-inhabitants, except for the norweigian rat…loves fruits and veggies, and finding a nice warm spot in your attic from time to time…my neighbor and are are now in ‘defcon4’ mode, or higher, if there is one…it is defcon isn’t or is it defcom….well, we are out there with our exterminator, terminator, ready for war…..later
ever been abused?
mmmm….sorry if you have, Abuse comes in all shapes and sizes, and forms. My sister spent years with abuse. She is one of the bravest human beings I have ever known. She is still in a battle today, desperatly getting the divorce finalized so she can be rid of the intolerant and abusive man who hurt is all. More info later on how you can live with it, how you can stop it, how you can keep from dying, and you can live again.
