My goodness, what a super movie….expected to be one of the few going to the 5:45 show and instead found a long line (for a small movie theater) It was full 10 minutes after they let us in and people just kept on coming. Worried presidents, advisors, newspapers, Vietnam, lies, cheating, cover-ups…..smoke-filled rooms, lawyers, power, most women in the background, always considered to be on the coattails of men. Ah yes it was the story of presidents clear back to Truman, however, it mainly talks of the Vietnam era and all the good old boys willing to sell their soul and the troops in Vietnam, rather than to say ‘we made a mistake’..’we made bad decisions, and we now have death and destruction sitting squarely on our shoulders.

But the newspaper….in spite of the men in power…..stood firm to the challenge of amendment rights….and the rest is history. Daniel Ellsburg…I salute you…..

Don’t miss it …make it two in a row….and remember the boys and men who died for us in the World Wars and Vietnam…..and now in the Middle East…..Our lives, as we live them, here in the US, are continuing day by day….because of their heroism and dedication to freedom and democracy.
